Each week we have a Reporter of the Week. We love hearing our friends share information they learned in the news. We learn about sports, new inventions, current events, and cool things that kids do. There are a million things going on in the world and we like to be informed.
We love ending the day with silver dollars and wooden nickels. We reflect on the best parts of the day and the parts we want to change or grow with tomorrow.
We love learning about Colorado History. We've seen the ghost towns in real life.
Now we get to learn about their history. And the history of our own town! Which invention impacted human life more, the telephone or the gasoline powered engine? We've been practicing our research and writing skills over the past few weeks, and now we're working independently. We read articles about both inventions, took notes, answered research questions, and then formed an opinion and a five paragraph essay. It's going really well!
We have so many talented friends in class.
We love learning about new instruments like the mandolin and hearing our friends play. We love exploring the news with Time for Kids. Today we learned about overcrowding in National Parks. It's very similar to the issues we researched with Crested Butte Town Planner.
