Today we met our first grade buddies! We built a few challenges using our Intooba kits to break the ice and get to know each other. We were great role models, and we look forward to building relationships with these awesome first graders for the rest of the year.
Today we explored how sounds travels! We created old school telephones and transferred messages across the room. Now we're trying to improve our designs for clarity and consistency.
Today we played around with word choice in poetry and how it changes tone. We used the poem April Rain Song by Langston Hughes. Can you change some of the words to make it dark and dreary or lonely and sad? Then we practiced contrasting poems about other subjects.
Today we explored poetry. We reviewed what we know, read poems by famous poets, and then had a chance to write some of our own. We love the freedom poetry give us.

and board games with friends on a snowy, Friday, spring, CB afternoon is the perfect cure! Today in math, we partnered up and tested our geometry vocabulary, listening, and drawing skills.
