Tomorrow (Friday, April 30th) is Arbor Day. The first Arbor Day was celebrated in Nebraska in 1862. On that day, Nebraskans planted one million trees! The day became a Nebraska state holiday in 1972, but is celebrated across the country. Gunnison County Electric Association celebrates Arbor Day as a way to give back to the environment. They shared a hybrid cottonwood sapling with each of us to plant at home! See the pamphlet for more information.
We love reading Time for Kids with friends!
This week we learned about the controversy surrounding wolf conservation. We just finished an amazing collaboration between art, music, and stem (STEAM). The project was all about synesthesia. This is a neurological condition that causes sound to be seen, art to be heard, and other senses to be felt in amazing ways. Today we got to present our creations to the second and third graders! Check it out!
Our Colorado Museum is ready and we so excited to share it with you.
Take a look around. Get read for a museum scavenger hunt for homework after break! Today we edited, review, and tested out our very own Virtual Colorado Museum.
We are SO excited to share it with you! Stay tuned!
