Each week we learn something new and interesting from our scientist of the week. Check out these cool bouncy eggs!
We love learning the why behind the science. For more details... This week in math we've been using our multiplication knowledge to convert between units. The metric system makes its easy, but time and the imperial system are a little more challenging. We can now convert between milliliters/liters, grams/kilograms, seconds/minutes/hours, and inches/feet/yards.
We're working on opinion writing. This involves the art of the five paragraph essay and how to craft a great paragraph. Before we start writing our letters, we're backing up our opinions with research from scientific articles. Here's the topic: should school be in person or remote?
We're really enjoying making maps with our peers. We're becoming experts on one region and then we're putting it all together to make Colorado as a whole!
We've been learning about the five regions of Colorado: Western Slope, Mountains, San Luis Valley, Front Range, and High Plains. Now that we know all the facts, we're dividing and conquering to create a class map. Stay tuned for the final product.
