This time of year is so much fun. It's also such a great time to reflect on our growth from third to fourth grade and set some new school and personal goals for the year to come. Today for the 10 Days of Fourth Grade we learned to play Dreidel. It was fun to learn about some holiday traditions, play a new game, and of course eat some chocolate gelt! Nothing like some holiday crafting to celebrate our time in 2022 together in fourth grade! We've been practicing written response questions. How do you answer a questions completely using a piece of text for support? We use the RACE model: restate the question, answer the question, cite your evidence, explain your thinking. Math is so much more than just numbers. Math is reasoning and writing as well. Each week we do a Which Doesn't Belong problem. If you had to pick one, which would you choose? Why? There are no wrong answers if you back up you thinking with good explanations and reasoning.  Thank you for helping us celebrate! We kicked off our celebration today with candy canes! We're so glad we live in a fascinating state. We're loving learning about our cool piece of land! |
