BUTTERFLIES ARE AS SOFT AS SILK, A CHRYSALIS IS AS MYSTERIOUS AS THE WIND

5/9/2016

We've come full circle in writing and we're so excited to share some of our writing with you.  Our small moment or personal narrative stories are about one thousand times more detailed, organized, legible, and amazing than they were at the beginning of the year.  We spent the week talking about adding our senses into our writing through the words, descriptions, and pictures.  We are now experts at the simile and we are way too cool for the word fun.
Pictures with thought labels, pictures with a hundred moguls, pictures of pitch black laser tag!
Instead of a fun week, we hope you have a:
SUPER, FABULOUS, AMAZING, SPECTACULAR, WONDERFUL, TERRIFIC, MEMORABLE
week filled with lots of details and juicy words!

My mom told me it was time to get off the Leapster. "Time to get off." I shoved it into mom's hand. Slit! I was mad! Then my brother woke up.
Picture
I watched it in my mom and dad's bed. But my brother was NOT nice to me. He pushed and shoved me and tried to lick me.
Picture
I stepped into the dark room. Then a bunch of lasers shot out of the walls. I ducked this way and that way...I quickly slipped through the lasers.

I was going off the sky dive. I crept up the ladder and I slowly stepped across the board and jumped!

We observed, questioned, wondered, and now we're just crossing our fingers that we have some butterflies by Monday!  Maybe these mysterious chrysalises will bring butterflies as soft as silk.
