Today we made kites...and a big mess! It was great! We worked with our hands, used our designs, fixed things that didn't work, made improvements, took them outside for a test run, and figured out how we would make changes for next time...and then cleaned up!
First grade is just the best!

Making a kite isn't just string and paper. It takes a lot of work...like making an airplane.
Fabric is heavy.
Maybe smaller is better.
You don't always get it right the first time.
