Neil Young Has Just Begun to Fight

Charlie is the Historian of the Week.  He did the most amazing job summarizing and sharing his article with us.  We learned that Neil Young played a concert in Nebraska (NE is Charlie's favorite!).  He was singing to try and make people understand that building a pipeline might not be the best choice.  We learned that if a pipeline breaks it could be pretty bad for the grass, the rivers, and the animals in the area.  We were respectful listeners as Charlie shared and we asked some really great questions too!  Micah wanted to know how singing could help.  Charlie said he was sharing his thoughts in his songs and let all the people building the pipeline come to the concert.  Quintin wanted to know when the concert happened.  Charlie said it happened on September 27th.    Ike wanted to know what would happen if the pipeline broke.  Charlie said that the gas could leak and that it would be poisonous to the grass and the dirt!
