We use mindful breathing in the classroom to help us calm down and refocus throughout the day. We have a lot of transitions from recess to reading to math to lunch and all over the place! We also have transitions through emotions inside of our bodies throughout the day. Breathing helps us take a minute, notice our senses and feelings, and start fresh.
