We're revising our personal narrative writing. Revising is the process of making something better through detail, word choice, and organization. Today we found sensory images in a funny book called The Relatives Came. Then we found places in our writing that could be improved with sensory details, worked with partners to come up with ideas, and shared them with the class. Now we're experts! We said things like, "the wind pierced my ears," "I jumped up and down," "he knew the waters like the back of his hand," "the moon glistened on the ocean surface," and "the sweat froze on my face."
